Chris Rock is the latest celebrity to announce he has COVID-19.

On Sunday, the comedian revealed to his 5.2 million followers on Twitter that he tested positive for coronavirus and encouraged people to get vaccinated.

"Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated," he tweeted.

Celebrities sent their well wishes for the 56-year-old's speedy recovery.

The Emmy-award winner disclosed earlier in 2021 that he got vaccinated, on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He told the late-night talk show host he received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, referring to himself as "Two-Shots Rock" and jokingly calling the dose the "food stamps of vaccines."

Many actors in the past have contracted the deadly virus, which has taken away millions of lives.

In March 2020, Idris Elba revealed with his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, that he contracted the virus. While not experiencing any symptoms and socially distancing in his home, he emboldened his followers to "stay home and be pragmatic."

"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic," the Suicide Squad actor wrote.

Since recovering from the virus, Elba and his wife have partnered with the United Nations to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on farmers and food producers in rural areas.

Ashanti also contracted the virus just as she was preparing to battle fellow singer Keyshia Cole in a Verzuz battle back in December. The 40-year-old actress revealed in an Instagram post that she was in disbelief about contracting the virus but was willing to still participate in the comfort of her own home.

“Hey y’all, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m ok and not in any pain. I’m actually down to do the verzuz from my house … we’re trying to figure it all out!!!" the "Happy" singer shared.
