Chris Rock has reportedly signed on to co-star in a Lionsgate project titled What To Expect, When You’re Expecting, which already stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker and Anna Kendrick!
The film, an adaptation of the pregnancy manual of the same name, will be a romantic comedy “in the vein of ‘Love Actually’ and ‘Valentine’s Day’… a modern look at love through the eyes of four interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn’t always deliver what’s expected.“
Rock will play a dude named Vic, the head of a group of expectant fathers, who gives them advice on and helps them understand what it really means to become a parent.
I’m guessing each of the 4 actresses above will play one half of the 4 interconnected couples. Not a black woman among them. Although, who knows, maybe one of them will have a black husband. I doubt it, but, ya never know 🙂
Kirk Jones is directing.
Since first hearing about this movie, I’ve had zero interest in it; and despite the addition of Rock, that hasn’t changed much.
