After romancing Jennifer Hudson in Netflix’s “Sandy Wexler” (which is now streaming), Adam Sandler is teaming up with Chris Rock in what will be his next Netflix movie, this one titled “The Week Of,” which will see the actors/comedians reunite in another comedy in which the characters they play will see their children getting married; the action will take place during the week before the wedding, hence the title. That’s all we know at this time.

Robert Smigel, who’s worked with Sandler previously, will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with Sandler.

This will be the final film produced under Sandler’s previous four-film deal with Netflix, although the streaming platform reupped on the deal for an additional 4 movies. Apparently, Sandler’s films for Netflix have been very successful.

Sandler and Allen Covert will produce for Happy Madison, with Barry Bernardi and Tim Herlihy serving as executive producers.

“The Week Of” is set to begin production this summer for a 2018 premiere on Netflix.
