Clark Johnson Set To Direct Indie Comedy "Fortune"

Acclaimed actor and director Clark Johnson is gearing up to direct an indie dark comedy titled Fortune. Johnson, who’s appeared in such favorites as Nurse. Fighter. Boy and The Wire, has also made a name for himself in the director’s chair helming productions such as The Shield, Homicide, The West Wing, Third Watch and Soul Food.

According to VarietyKim Basinger, Heather Graham, Catherine O’Hara and Jason Patric are in final negotiations to star in the film.

Written by the scripting team of Nancy Fichman & Jennifer Hoppe (Nurse Jackie), the film revolves around a petty thief who pledges to save his life after a roadside killing; and two financially destitute sisters who grudgingly team up to track down a female mobster for bounty. They all land in Las Vegas, where violence and destinies collide.

Filming for the production will take place in Canada during the end of August.
