After Lifetime’s The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, fans discussed the scene at Dr. Mattie Moss Clark’s funeral in which Denise Clark Bradford (Raven Goodwin) was taken away from speaking. An actual clip from the funeral has surfaced on social media.

Twitter account Gospel Legends posted the clip online showing Denise being introduced as a speaker.

Twinkie Clark’s nephew, Larry Clark, also posted on his Instagram a picture of his mother Denise with her husband, who wasn’t shown in the film.

“This was my mother’s husband…this was my grandmother’s funeral,” he wrote. “Posting because her being married wasn’t featured in the movie (for those that didn’t know). Her name was Denise Clark Morrison…..with 7 boys.”

Larry Clark confirmed the funeral scene in an Instagram Live video, saying revealing that his mother “was venting” when she got up to speak, and how that was part of real-life family drama that happened during the funeral.

The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, starring Goodwin, Aunjanue Ellis, Christina Bell, Kierra Sheard (as her real-life mother Karen Clark Sheard), Sheléa Frazier and Angela Birchett, is now available for viewing on Lifetime.com after its April 12 premiere. The film was executive produced by Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliot.
