Shadow And Act has learned that for the first time in almost three decades, MTV is bringing back Club MTV amid the coronavirus pandemic.

MTV is teaming up with DJ Derrick “D-Nice” Jones for a special edition of the Club MTV franchise, Club MTV Presents #DanceTogether with D-Nice. The one-hour, special music event will air on Saturday, April 25th at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. It will also air on VH1 and MTV2.

The network says: Hosted from his Downtown Los Angeles home, D-Nice will spin an eclectic mix of classic jams and today’s hottest hits during the interactive party, while also engaging with A-list friends, viral social media dancers and fans alike through on-screen pop-ins and dance challenges. Viewers can join the conversation from the comfort of their homes by commenting and posting online with the hashtag #DanceTogether.

This event is a part of the #AloneTogether campaign, with donations going to The Save the Music Foundation  The nonprofit is working rapidly to ensure students in underserved communities severely impacted by this pandemic, particularly New York, Los Angeles, Newark and New Orleans, have access to remote music education. Viewers can donate by visiting savethemusic.org/dance or texting DANCE to 91999.
