According to Variety, Quinta Brunson will star in a single-camera comedy series with a put pilot commitment at HBO Max. The series was co-written by Brunson with Michelle Nader.

The half-hour pilot will focus on an “ambitious millennial” trying to get to the top of a media startup but is put in charge of the company’s new diverse writing team.

Warner Bros. Television will produce the pilot, thanks to an overall deal in place with Nader. Nader will also serve as showrunner and executive producer with Danielle Stokdyk as executive producer and Brunson as a co-executive producer.

Brunson can currently be seen on HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, which has been renewed for a second season.
