We already told you at least a week or 2 ago that Taye Diggs, Trey SongzJill ScottJ Cole and Djimon Hounsou were all in for parts in playwright/director David E. Talbert's rom-com, Baggage Claim, for Fox Searchlight, based on his best-selling debut novel about a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband.

That list of actors will be joining those who were cast much earlier – Paula PattonDerek Luke, and Octavia Spencer – as cast members, with Patton playing our husband-seeking flight attendant.

Now the film has cast its first non-black actor, Adam Brody, who'll play a flamboyant flight attendant who works alongside Patton and Octavia Spencer. He devises a plan to help Patton's character get engaged before Christmas, and works with a team of airport personnel to make sure she crosses paths with several ex-boyfriends who are traveling during the course of the story.

As for the others, Songz will play a big-time record producer, and Diggs will play a man with his eyes set on running for Congress, who wants a trophy wife.

Here's the synopsis for Baggage Claim:

Pledging to keep herself from being the oldest and the only woman in her entire family never to wed, Montana embarks on a thirty-day, thirty-thousand-mile expedition to charm a potential suitor into becoming her fiancé. Whom will she choose? Damon Diesel, a P. Diddy wannabe; Reverend Curtis P. Merewether, pastor of Greater House of Deliverance, Tabernacle of Praise, Worship, and Miracles; pompous attorney-turned-councilman Langston Jefferson Battle III; or Quinton Jamison, a multimillionaire who's twenty years her senior?

The project is scheduled to begin principal photography this month.
