Courtney B. Vance has booked his next project, and its from The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story director Anthony Hemingway.

Like ACS, Heist 88 is set at FX, and it is based on the real-life story of swindler, Armand Moore.

It is written by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran.

Set in 1988 Heist 88 tells the true story of arch-criminal and master manipulator Armand Moore (Vance) who persuaded four young, African-American employees of First National Bank of Chicago to steal $70 million via a sophisticated takedown of the banking wire system.

Johnson-Cochran and Vance are exec producing with Veasey and Mark Taylor. Hemingway is also directing.

Vance recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for his work in The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

He is also set for an undisclosed role in the third series in the American Crime Story franchise on Hurricane Katrina.
