“Black-ish” co-executive producer Courtney Lilly has set up a comedy at ABC that will explore what it means to be a black man in America today, with a recently divorced high school teacher at the center of the narrative.

Titled “Joe 2.0,” the project hails from Lilly, as well as director Tim Story, and Kapital Entertainment.

In addition to the Emmy-nominated “Black-ish,” Lilly’s credits include work on NBC’s “Undateable,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Arrested Development” and “My Boys.”
