Creator Todd McFarlane Announces Plans For New "Spawn" Movie

ComicBookResources.com is reporting that Spawn creator and co-writer Todd McFarlane, speaking from a panel at the 2011 New York Comic Con, revealed plans for a new movie based on the popular comic.

“A low-budget “Spawn” movie is also being planned, one that will take its story cues from the current, more grounded in reality tone of the book,” McFarlane was quoted as saying.

The 1997 live-action film version of Spawn starred Michael Jai White in the titular role, while the HBO miniseries Todd McFarlane’s Spawn saw the character voiced by Keith David.

It wasn’t exactly specified whether this new Spawn project will be live-action or animated. Either way, who would you like see or hear as Spawn this time around?
