Crystal Fox And Mo McRae Join 'Big Little Lies' Season 2; Merrin Dungey To Return

HBO’s Big Little Lies has closed deals for four Season 1 cast members to return, and two new cast members have been set.

One of the four is Merrin Dungey, who will reprise her recurring role as Detective Adrienne Quinland.

Crystal Fox has been cast in the series regular role of Elizabeth Howard, Bonnie’s (Zoe Kravitz) mother and Mo McRae will play Michael Perkins, “a teacher at the kids’ school who has a beef with Renata (Laura Dern).”

Fox, most known for her role in The Heat of the Night, currently stars in the OWN soap opera, The Haves and the Have Nots. McRae was just seen on the big screen in Den of Thieves and was a series regular in Fox’s Pitch.

Based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling book of the same name, this subversive, darkly comedic drama tells the tale of three mothers of first-graders whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Zoë Kravitz, Meryl Streep, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling, Kathryn Newton and Sarah Sokolovic star.
