After earning rave reviews for his stunning turn in A24's Sundance award-winning film The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Jonathan Majors has added another project to his busy to-do list.
He's in negotiations to join Chadwick Boseman in the upcoming Spike Lee film at Netflix, Da 5 Bloods.
Majors' role right now is unknown. The film "follows Vietnam veterans who go back to the jungle to find their lost innocence and put their broken selves back together." Delroy Lindo and Jean Reno are also a part of the cast.
While The Last Black Man in San Francisco doesn't have a theatrical release date yet, Majors can be seen in the upcoming film Captive State with Ashton Sanders and Vera Farmiga. He also just wrapped his role in the movie Jungleland and will begin shooting his role as Black Panther Party co-founder Bobby Seale in Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7 this summer.
On the television front, he'll star with Jurnee Smollett-Bell in Jordan Peele, J.J. Abrams and Misha Green's Lovecraft Country on HBO, which is expected to premiere this year.
Deadline first reported the news of his casting.
