Rapper and reality television personality Da Brat went public with her relationship with entrepreneur Jesseca Dupart earlier this year. The announcement came in the form of a touching Instagram post after Dupart gifted Brat a new car.

It was a long time coming for Brat, who admitted to keeping her sexuality public for the sake of her image. “I never confirmed anything because in the ’90s, it wasn’t cool back in the day,” she said during The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. “I’m a little bit nervous because I’m not really used to talking about this thing because I’m not a public person when it comes to my personal life. But when you get blessed and somebody when you weren’t even looking for nobody, and they love you like you’ve never been loved before, it’s a whole different experience.”

Now, they are taking their love to reality television. According to a recent announcement and accompanying trailer, Brat and Dupart will star in the upcoming reality series Brat Loves Judy on WE Tv as they forge their new lives together.

The series will chronicle the couple “from building a new home together and growing their budding careers to couples therapy, dealing with meddling loved ones, and a surprise proposal.”

Brat’s famous sister, actress LisaRaye McCoy will be featured on the show as they work to rebuild their estranged relationship. Dupart’s adult daughter, granddaughter, Brat’s manager, and a host of family and friends will also appear on the show.

Brat Loves Judy is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and Datari Turner Productions with Tara Long, Mark Herwick, Gennifer Gardiner and Ben Megargel serving as executive producers for eOne, alongside Datari Turner executive producing for Datari Turner Productions, and Meredith Kisgen who also serves as showrunner. Da Brat and Jesseca Dupart also serve as executive producers on the series. Lauren P. Gellert and Ashley McFarlin Buie executive produced for WE tv.

Brat isn’t foreign to reality TV. She’s been part of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta for several seasons.
