nullRecall P. Diddy’s Downton Abbey Twitter hoax, which got the web all abuzz over whether the multihyphenate was indeed going to appear on the hit PBS series…

As we later reported, it all lead up to release of what I thought was an unfunny spoof of the show, which Diddy starred in, titled Downton Diddy (watch it below if you missed it).

Before Diddy revealed that it was all just a hoax, and he really wasn’t going to be appearing on Downton Abbey, PBS responded to all the chatter, stating that the rumors weren’t true.

But not-so fast my friends…

In an interview with the UK’s Telegraph (posted on their website today), Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey, shared that he did watch Diddy’s spoof, and appreciated it, stating, “I loved that, I thought it was fabulous,… I absolutely adored it…

But he didn’t stop there. He added that he’s now considering giving Diddy a cameo role in a future episode, saying, “I’d never says never, though I imagine he’d steal the scene, even if it was a small part.

What the cameo or small part would be is anyone’s guess – assuming this actually happens. But I’m sure if offered, Diddy would be all over it! So don’t be shocked if we announce one day that Diddy has been officially cast in a cameo role in Downton Abbey.

It was earlier this year when Fellowes announced that he intended to introduce a black character to the show’s cast for its 4th season; it was later revealed that Gary Carr, had been cast as that black character, although no word yet on who exactly he’ll be.

As you can see, there can only be one black person on Downton Abbey (I don’t make the rules), and that slot has already been filled.
