null"Da Sweet Blood of Jesus" – Spike Lee’s “maybe
it was, maybe it wasn’t” remake of Bill Gunn’s seminal 1973 horror drama, “Ganja
and Hess,” set among the world of the black intelligentsia, was intended to be a new
and different step in Spike’s career trajectory.

Funded mainly through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, the film, however, received mixed reviews; and like most of Spike’s more recent endeavors, was
controversial with people on both sides so the fence. Well that is, among those
who saw it, since the film did not get a wide theatrical release earlier this
year. and there has been no released reports on how well the film did during its initial VOD release.

But now, more
people will have a chance to see it, since Anchor Bay, today, announced that "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus" will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 26th.

They also
have announced that the DVD will, of course, include a host of extras and special features, which will be announced at a later date.
