Does ‘Euphoria’ Have A Planned End Date In Mind? Here’s What HBO’s President Says

Fans don’t worry about Euphoria losing its grasp on what makes it great.  According to HBO president Casey Bloys, the show has no intention of jumping the shark since it has a “time limit.”

Bloys made the revelation to TVLine recently when he said that the series can only go for so many seasons because of the show’s setting, high school.

“Well, [the characters] are in high school, so there are only so many seasons it can go,” Bloys said. “There’s a time limit.” But, he added, that he and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson don’t have an official end date yet, saying that the network “will follow [Sam’s] lead on that.”

“There is no set plan, but I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [high school students],” he said.

Until that point comes, though, you can rest assured that you will at least see Euphoria for another season, since it has been renewed for Season 2.

Euphoria, starring Zendaya, Algee Smith and Storm Reid, airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
