Donald Glover spilled details on the upcoming Season 2 of Atlanta, in an interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.

Glover has several high-profile projects coming up, such as the Untitled Star Wars Han Solo film, The Lion King remake and more. He’s also creating an animated Deadpool series for FX. Meanwhile, his Atlanta co-stars have big projects coming up as well: Zazie Beetz (FOX’s live-action Deadpool) Lakeith Stanfield (Come Sunday, Sorry to Bother You), Brian Tyree Henry (Widows, Only You, Hotel Artemis).

But those who are yearning for a return of Atlanta will be pleased with the news Glover revealed.

He’s finding time to develop the second season, and has high hopes for it. “I’m not the type of person to rush anything. I feel like if you rush it, you’ll start to get something you don’t want and then you start to question why you even liked it. I’m not gonna make anything until it’s ready. But to be completely honest, it’s almost ready. I’m pretty happy with a lot of the things, and I think it’s better than the first season,” he said.

Glover previously announced the second season of Atlanta would be delayed until 2018 because of his work on the Han Solo film. At that time, he also announced his overall deal with FX to develop new shows for the network.
