The first trailer for Don’t Let Go, a supernatural thriller starring Storm Reid and David Oyelowo, premiered online today (July 16) and comes equipped with a hefty dose of thrills, courtesy of Blumhouse Tilt, Universal’s OTL Releasing and Briarcliff Entertainment.

Originally premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival under the title Relive, Don’t Let Go centers around a police officer named Jack Radcliff (David Oyelowo) who receives a phone call from his recently murdered niece, Ashley (Storm Reid).  Uncle and niece then time up across differing time periods to prevent the latter’s murder from taking place.

The film was written and directed by Jacob Aaron Estes, as well as produced by Oyelowo, Jason Blum and Bobby Cohen.

Don’t Let Go also stars Mykelti Williamson, Brian Tyree Henry, Shinelle Azoroh, Byron Mann, April Grace and Alfred Molina. The film will premiere in theaters on August 30.

Shadow And Act reviewed Don’t Let Go under its original title when it debuted at Sundance this year. Trey Mangum wrote that “despite the film’s overabundance of moving pieces, Don’t Let Go still contains the formula for what Blumhouse excels at the best, so there’s a good chance that the film could be a box office surprise out of Sundance.”
