A hot package is being prepared for buyers at Cannes. The package is buddy cop film in the action-comedy genre, starring Tiffany Haddish and Chris Hemsworth.

Scripted by Peter Hoare, per Deadlinewho first broke the news, the project is in the vein of films like 48 Hrs. and Rush Hour. CAA is handling domestic sales and FilmNation is handling international. Last year, the duo sold 355, an international spy seller starring Lupita Nyong’o, Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing and Marion Cotillard, as well as Rian Johnson’s ensemble murder mystery, Knives Out.

Here’s the description: Hemsworth will play a detective who goes undercover to crack a series of baffling casino heists in which the prime suspects are a troupe of Australian male erotic dancers. He’s forced to take the partner no one else will — Haddish’s character, a lone wolf who does things only one way: hers. Together they have to work as an unlikely duo to solve the crime of their careers.

Hemsworth is coming off of Avengers: Endgame and Haddish has a comic book adaptation of her own next, DC/Vertigo’s The Kitchen.
