Following a brief run on UP TV, A Cross to Bear, the drama from director Tandria Potts that tells a “story of tragedy, forgiveness, redemption and faith gives new meaning to the word ‘family,'” will receive a March 11 DVD release. 
The film stars Danielle Deadwyler, Jackie Long, Kim Fields, and Malinda Williams as women occupying a shelter for young homeless abused women. 
The synopsis reads: 
Like every little girl, Erica Moses had big dreams for the future… but life had other plans for her. After failed relationships, addiction and homelessness, Erica hits rock bottom when she faces a young mother’s ultimate nightmare: the loss of her child. With nowhere left to turn, she finds herself on the doorstep of a very special house. At this home, women can find shelter, a helping hand and, just maybe, a second chance. Now, facing her most difficult journey, Erica reaches for hope to overcome her past, open her heart to love and build a new life.
