Drunk History has been canceled after six seasons at Comedy Central. Variety broke the news Friday evening.

It was renewed for a seventh season, but production was suspended due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Comedy Central decided to ax the show as the network starts to phase out live-action series and move toward primarily animated series. Several new animated shows are in development at the network, including the Daria spinoff, Jodie, which will star Tracee Ellis Ross.

Some live-action shows at the network, like The Other Two and South Side, have moved to HBO Max.

We’ll have more on this story when more information is available.
