Duane Martin will take part in Bel-Air, the upcoming dramatic reboot of Will Smith-starring sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Martin told Essence that he will be playing a campaign manager for Uncle Phil, who is running for office. Other details about the show are being hidden until the series airs.

“I’m there to be a fixer,” said Martin in the interview. “As you know, Will and Carlton are always getting in trouble. All of these things can affect his campaign. But it’s a complete hardcore drama. It’s not no laugh track. The stakes are heightened.”

He also talked about the series he's working on based on his career as a sports agent.

The series will be executive produced by Jada Pinkett Smith.

“A lot of people don’t know I’ve been a sports agent for over 25 years,” he said. “It’s about my life growing up as a young African-American in a white male-dominated business, trying to be a mentor for some of these young athletes.”

His series will draw on his experiences on having people go against him in the industry and try to tear apart his contracts and his character. He also said he has “scandalous” stories from working in the industry, adding that he wanted to turn his experiences into a show because he wanted “to give people the visual of what that life was like.”

Martin will be next seen in BET’s revival series, Real Husbands of Hollywood – More Kevin, More Problems starring Kevin Hart, which will air Feb. 10, 2022.

The series also stars Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Robin Thicke, Cynthia McWilliams, Jackie Long, Michele Weaver and Angela Rye. The series brings fans back into the fictionalized world of Hart as a househusband getting into wild times with his fellow househusband friends.
