Dwayne Johnson Continues To Stack Up Projects; Signs Up To Play Mercenary In "Ciudad"

And the beat doesn't stop for Dwayne Johnson who's just been piling up on project and project after project after…

Seriously dude… no breaks? No rest?

What's that saying about getting while the getting's good…?

On the heels of news that he's now officially signed on to star as Hercules in the MGM project, comes the announcement that Johson will headline the Russo Brother's film adaptation of their own upcoming graphic novel titled Ciudad, which is set in one of the most dangerous and corrupt cities in the world, and will see Johnson star as a black market mercenary hired by a Brazilian drug lord to rescue his kidnapped daughter.

Emmett/Furla Films partners Randall Emmett & George Furla will co-produce the film as well as finance it; as an aside, Emmet/Furla Films has been quite busy lately. I feel like almost every other high profile project has their name on it in some capacity. I'd love to chat with the company's owners.

As for Johnson, this, I believe, is his 6th project scheduled to be released in the next couple of years.
