Fresh off his historic Emmy win, Pose star Billy Porter is adding directing to his ever-expanding repertoire of talents.

In an exclusive report from Variety, it has been revealed that Porter is slated to make his directorial debut in an episode for the third season of Pose.

“I’ve been directing for 20 years in the theater, and I’m directing an episode of Season 3 myself,” Porter said. “I’m trying to be the head b—h in charge, hunny!”

Last Sunday, Porter made history when he became the first openly gay Black man to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his riveting portrayal of Pray Tell on Pose.

Pose, which was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards on Sunday, documents the Underground ballroom culture in New York City in the ’80s and ’90s, which coincided with the HIV/AIDS epidemic. No premiere date has been announced for the third season of the acclaimed FX drama.
