EU's Euromed Seeks Films From Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Others For Cannes Film Catalogue

The deadline to submit your film information is April 15, 2013.

The Euromed Audiovisual III Programme of the European Union is happy to announce for the southern Mediterranean region, its initiative to launch a film catalogue, which presents all films – long feature films and documentaries- produced between 2011 and 2013 by filmmakers from the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia

The objective of this initiative is to create a first time global market appeal of the current creative works originating from the southern Mediterranean region.

This common catalogue will promote your creative works from the southern Mediterranean region at the most visible and attended World Film Market, the Cannes Film Festival 2013, which takes place from May 15 to 26.

All films are mostly welcome, and in order to compile the catalogue in time, we would need to receive, as soon as possible, all professional data regarding your film(s) as requested in the form (see link below to download). Please add also an electronic picture and/or poster of your film(s) to be put on top of your catalogue page.

This initiative should be seen in the light of the recent developments to establish a Southern Mediterranean Film Marketing Association (SOUK Al FILM Al ARABY a.k.a. SAFA), which should be launched jointly during a special event at the Cannes Film Festival, May 19th.

We would like to inform you that Euromed Audiovisual III Programme does not have any commercial interests and/or claim on the film rights in the printing and use of the catalogue. Kindly note that no film with controversial content shall be accepted. We are looking forward to working together on this exceptional occasion of this first joint cross regional and cultural initiative amongst professionals of the involved countries.

You will be kept regularly informed on all information regarding the development and promotion of this film catalogue.
