The upcoming Lifetime series Hopelessly In Love will document some of the most turbulent relationships in hip-hop and R&B history, from Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Andre Rison to Faith Evans and Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G.

In an interview with Page Six, Evans, who appears in the series to give her story, expressed dissatisfaction with her involvement in the show and how it sensationalized her rocky marriage to the rap legend.

“I feel upset that I’m attached to it,” the R&B icon reportedly told Page Six. “I was told that it would be a positive piece with a little more of my personal background. It wasn’t pitched to me as a story rehashing the sensationalized events that took place.”

Evans, known for hits such as “Love Like This” and “All Night Long”, also revealed that the late rapper’s mother, Voletta Wallace, is also unhappy with Hopelessly In Love.

“Ms. Wallace is pissed,” she said. “Everyone was blindsided. She has worked very hard for his legacy to be acknowledged in a more positive light.”
