Editor's note: An earlier version of this article stated that Williams and McCrary would be playing siblings, as the initial press release from Legacy Distribution stated. We've now learned that the stated information was incorrect and Williams and McCrary will be playing siblings instead. The below story has been updated to reflect that.
It's a Family Matters reunion! Kellie Shanygne Williams and Darius McCrary are back together again for a new holiday film, Christmas in Carolina. The film was directed by Peggy Williams and written by Stacie Davis.
Here's the official description for the film: After losing her parents in a car accident, Elle (Joslyn Y. Hall), a career-driven investment banker has given up on love and Christmas until she meets Wesley (David L. Rowell), a former NBA player and CEO of a small marketing firm. Impetuously, Wesley invites Elle home for Christmas in South Carolina, with his mom and uncle (Williams and McCrary). With hesitation, Elle accepts and is given a much bigger present than she could ever have imagined!
It will premiere on Roku devices on Nov. 1, accompanied by a release on video-on-demand and digital release platforms.
