Family Reunion has been renewed for a third and final season at Netflix.

“I am so excited that Family Reunion will be returning for a third season,” said series creator Meg DeLoatch in a statement. “I will always be grateful to Netflix for giving me the opportunity to finally tell my story and the platform to share the beautiful, loving and joyous McKellan family with the world.”

Three or four seasons is a normal run for a Netflix series and is a rarity for a Netflix comedy series as most are after their first or second year. Also, each of Family Reunion‘s seasons, like other Netflix comedies, have been split into “parts,” which is why it may seem like the show had more than three seasons.

The second season of the show followed the McKellans as they settle into their new lives in the South and even more hilarious antics ensue as they learn to live together under M’Dear’s roof and the family bonding gets real.

Series stars Loretta Devine, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Anthony Alabi, Talia Jackson, Jordyn Raya James, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright and Richard Roundtree are all expected to return.

No word yet on when the new season will arrive.
