Season 2 of the Netflix show is finally being released. Raising Dion follows Nicole (Alisha Wainwright) and her son Dion (Ja’Siah Young) after Dion begins depicting superhero-like abilities. Season 2 picks up two years after defeating the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter) and follows Dion as he continues using his superpowers with his mom’s help and a trainer who befriends his mother. But even with a trainer, Dion learns more dangers lie ahead and must use his powers to prevail. 

The long-awaited spinoff featuring fan-favorite Joseph Sikora is here. In the third spinoff of the Power Universe, the show picks up after Tommy Egan (Sikora) cuts ties with his life in New York following the loss of his best friend Ghost, and the love of his life LaKeisha. In his quest, Tommy heads to Chicago to start his own empire. But unlike New York, Chicago is a city divided by race. He quickly learns to use his outsider status to his advantage as he tries to become the biggest drug dealer in the city. Alongside Sikora as Tommy Egan, the series also stars  Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons, Gabrielle Ryan, Shane Harper, Kris D. Lofton, Anthony Fleming III, Lucien Cambric and Tommy Flanagan.

In this series, Jane (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) moves into a minimalist house designed by an architect (David Oyelowo) in which she has to follow his list of rules. Jane doesn’t like the rules and soon discovers similarities between the tenant who lived in the house before her, making her question her own fate. Airing on BBC late last year, the series also stars Ben Hardy and Jessica Plummer.

After nearly six years off the air, the popular spoof series returns to the BET family for a six-part limited series. The original cast returns with Kevin Hart, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Robin Thicke, Cynthia McWilliams, and Jackie Long. There are also newcomers Michele Weaver and Angela Rye, along with a few other big-time celebrities as Kevin’s “friends.” 

Peacock is dramatizing the popular 90s comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a lens to showcase Will’s journey from West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. Trying to accept a new life will prove to be difficult for the city kid in his new and improved surroundings. Will Smith serves as the executive producer. The new series is inspired by Morgan Cooper’s viral trailer of the reimagined show. Cooper directs and executive producing this reimagining, which stars Jabari Banks as Will, Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa.

A spinoff of the hit series All American, this young adult sports drama focuses on Black excellence at the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Bringston University. The show focuses on tennis hopeful Simone (Geffri Maya) who hails from Beverly Hills struggles to prove herself on the court after some time away from training; and Chicago native and basketball player Damon (Peyton Alex Smith) who has the burden of things from back home. After Simone’s aunt Amara Patterson (Kelly Jenrette), a journalism teacher and activist, exposes a scandal that threatens to derail the school’s baseball program, a new coach, Marcus Turner (Cory Hardrict) is ready to revitalize the team with Damon’s help. But it’s not all easy. 

The Disney+ original series will premiere on February 23. The show “will pick up the story of its central character, Penny Proud, and include her madcap family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). Of course, it would not be “The Proud Family” without Penny’s loyal crew Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez and Zoey Howzer, among others.”

As Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) and his family are living their dreams, rich beyond what they ever expected with more to do, they are threatened to have it taken from them.  The controversial death of basketball star Len Bias in 1986, who’d just signed on with the Boston Celtics, makes the rock cocaine epidemic front-page news with lawmakers from both sides eager to make a change. The drug game is now the focus of politics and the LAPD isn’t easing up with South Central Los Angeles becoming the most dangerous spots.

Bubba Wallace’s personal and professional life are the focus in this new docuseries. The series includes coverage of him during the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season and traces his rise to the elite ranks of NASCAR as the only full-time Black driver and the turbulent aftermath. The six-episode series also puts a spotlight on Wallace’s decision to speak out about racial injustice. 

Elena Federova, a recently captured international arms dealer and criminal mastermind who orchestrates a number of coordinated bank heists throughout New York City is the focus of this series that’ll surely have viewers on their feet. Val Turner, her antagonist, is the principled, relentless and socially outcast FBI agent who will stop at nothing to foil her ambitious plan. The drama reveals how far some people will go for love, justice and the most valuable commodity in the world: the truth. Morena Baccarin and Ryan Michelle Bathé star.
