IAlmostForgot

The Jackal Group, a self-described fully-financed production studio focused on multiple areas of content production, has acquired feature film rights to Terry McMillan’s 2016 novel “I Almost Forgot About You.”

In the novel (courtesy of Amazon.com’s description), Dr. Georgia Young’s wonderful life isn’t enough to keep her from feeling stuck and restless. When she decides to make some major changes in her life, including quitting her job as an optometrist and moving, she finds herself on a wild journey that may or may not include a second chance at love.

Rory Koslow will oversee the development of the project at The Jackal Group.

No other details on the project are available at this time.

McMillan is certainly no stranger to seeing her novels adapted for the screen; in addition to the upcoming “I Almost Forgot About you,” “Waiting to Exhale,” “Disappearing Acts,” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” have all become films. The sequel to “Exhale,” titled “Getting to Happy,” was at one time set to be adapted, but it never progressed.
