Fantastic FourOf all the upcoming superhero movies that have already been packaged, this is one that I’m most interesting it seeing, if only because I’m curious to see what director Josh Trank has done with the material, given his work on "Chronicle" 3 years ago – a film I appreciated; a different, more grounded take on the superhero origin story.

As I’ve said previously, it seems as if the same 5 or 6 directors (all white and male) are/have been directing the majority of the superhero franchise movies – Zack Snyder, the Russo brothers, Bryan Singer, Christopher Nolan (who’s now done with the Batman franchise) and a few others. And while Josh Trank is also white and male, he’s a fresh voice, at least, and, from all that’s been said about the upcoming "Fantastic Four" movie he directed, that comes out next month, fans should expect a "different" kind of superhero movie – one that, like his last film, is much more grounded, and character driven than the others we’ve seen in recent years.

For example, one of the film’s producers previously shared that their super powers will be treated more like disabilities that they have to adjust to over time, which I thought was an interesting way to look it.

Until August 7, 2015 arrives, which is when the movie is set to open in theaters, here’s the final trailer released this morning by 20th Century Fox, of course featuring each of the film’s 4 heroes – Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell (and I shouldn’t forget Reg E. Cathey as the elder statesman). Also we get a better look at Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev – aka Dr Doom, the film’s villain..

The film, which will be released in 3D, was penned by Jeremy Slater, Simon Kinberg & Josh Trank, with Matthew Vaughn, Kinberg, Hutch Parker, Robert Kulzar, and Gregory Goodman producing.
