Fans have begged Marvel for Misty Knight (Simone Missick)’s bionic arm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and guess what…..we’re getting it! Here’s a first-look at her bionic arm, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

Warning: Spoiler if you haven’t seen Marvel’s The Defenders

Knight’s arm is cut off in the Netflix miniseries by a member of the hand, Bakuto. After this, she ends up at a hospital owned by Danny Rand/Iron Fist and is tended to by Colleen Wing (Wing and Knight are a duo called Daughters of the Dragon in the canon). In Marvel lore, Knight becomes a private investigator after her arm is injured. She gets a bionic arm, hence her team-up with Wing.

So, we don’t know exactly, but seems like in Luke Cage Season 2, she’s still with the NYPD and is not a private investigator (at least not yet). But she is sporting that high-tech bionic arm! It is unknown yet how she got the arm. In the Marvel canon, it was designed for her by Tony Stark, because in the comics, she lost it in a Stark Industries bombing.

It is unknown right now how she got the arm. In the Marvel canon, it was designed for her by Tony Stark, because in the comics, she lost it in a Stark Industries bombing.

We also don’t know what Misty can do with the arm, but, in the comics, it gives her superhuman strength, the ability to deliver energy blasts, control robots and more.

Luke Cage Season 2 premieres in 2018. It executive produced by Cheo Hodari Coker (Ray Donovan, Southland) and Aïda Croal (The Returned, True Blood) as co-executive producer, along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Punisher, Marvel’s Inhumans), and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Punisher, Marvel’s Inhumans) and stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Theo Rossi as Shades, Gabrielle Dennis as Tilda Johnson and Mustafa Shakir as John McIver.
