On July 1, the Tupac Shakur episode of the BBC Studios’ docuseries A Life in 10 Pictures will stream on Crackle– and Shadow and Act has the first look.

The trailer for this episode begins with a young 17- year old Tupac Shakur introducing himself and the school he attends.

A renowned photographer explores the life of Tupac Shakur along with other influential people who were close to the legend. They explore Shakur’s duality of being a cultural icon and entertainer that tried to advance his community by taking a stand. Often he was seen as “reckless” due to his arrests. Shakur’s “boy next door” image in professional photos appeared to be the subject of criticism against his mug shots.

From private snaps to public photos, this episode explores Shakur in his complexity.
