With the announcement of BET+'s debut date and how much it will cost, we now have the first trailer for First Wives Club.
The project is a TV series reboot of the 1996 movie, which starred Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton. The film itself is an adaptation of the 1992 novel of the same name. The series will follow "Ari (Bathe), Bree (Buteau) and Hazel (Scott) who band together after their marriages fall apart, and who find strength in their sisterhood- and of course a little revenge." It is from Girls Trip writer Tracy Y. Oliver.
Oliver's First Wives Club was initially at TV Land but was redeveloped for Paramount Network when she was brought in. The series, a remake of the 1996 film, was then moved to BET, and now BET+. It stars Michelle Buteau, Ryan Michelle Bathe and Jill Scott as the three central women. RonReaco Lee, Malik Yoba and Mark Tallman also star.
