The First Wives Club now has its men.

RonReaco Lee, Malik Yoba and Mark Tallman have been cast as series regulars to portray the seemingly soon-to-be ex-husbands of Michelle Buteau, Jill Scott and Ryan Michelle Bathe.

The project is a TV series reboot of the 1996 movie, which starred Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton. The film itself is an adaptation of the 1992 novel of the same name. The series will follow “Ari (Bathe), Bree (Buteau) and Hazel (Scott) who band together after their marriages fall apart, and who find strength in their sisterhood- and of course a little revenge.” It is from Girls Trip writer Tracy Y. Oliver.

Here are their men’s characters:

Tallman is David, “Ari’s (Bathe) husband, a very driven politician running for the Senate, whose ambition and ego often come before his wife and family.”

Lee is Gary, “Bree’s (Buteau) college sweetheart husband, a dedicated teacher and father whose infidelity will prove to be a challenge for their marriage.”

Yoba is “Derrick, Hazel’s (Scott) unfaithful music mogul husband who is very entangled in her career.”

Lee recently starred in the critically-acclaimed Starz series, Survivor’s Remorse and recurred on BET’s The Quad. Yoba just recently recurred on TBS comedy The Last O.G. and the ABC drama, Designated Survivor. Tallman starred in VH1’s Single Ladies and recently recurred on Dietland and The Good Fight.

Filming for the series will commence later this year for a 2019 premiere.

Deadline first reported the casting news.
