Looks like Fox wants to bring together worlds of Empire and Star  — if for just one night only.

According to TV Line, the network is in talks to “temporarily merge” the universes as a part of a one-night premiere event.

Star ran on Thursdays in its first season, but will be paired with Empire on Wednesdays in the fall. They will premiere on September 27th.

Details about a potential crossover are unavailable and the network declined to comment.

Featuring a soundtrack of original music and music performances, FOX’s Empire, which was a ratings juggernaut for the network upon its premiere, is about a music label ran by mogul Luscious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and the push and pull for control of the company, it’s direction and the personal lives of his family, ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smolett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Gray). Empire is a production of 20th Century FOX Television in association with Lee Daniels Entertainment.

Also featuring original music and music performances, Star follows three talented singers (played by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady), desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success.  Queen Latifah plays the quasi-matriarch who looks over the show’s 3 young leads. Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell and Tyrese Gibson are also members of the cast.  Star is also a production of 20th Century FOX Television in association with Lee Daniels Entertainment.
