Free Screening Of 'Free Angela' Tomorrow Weds March 6th In Chicago

nullWe know that it’s at the last minute, and that the entire Midwest is being socked with a major and nasty late winter snow storm, but if you’re in Chicago and the streets are clear by tomorrow night, then you ought to check out the free screening of Shola Lynch’s documentary, Free Angela and All Political Prisoners, taking place there.

The screening, which will be the Chicago premiere of the film, will be followed by a panel discussion to analyze the film and the political climate of the times, with Joy James, Professor of Humanities and Social Science at Williams College and Mariame Kaba, who is the founding director of Project NIA, which is an advocacy organization that works to find ways to end youth incarceration.

The screening will be held at the Logan Center Performance Hall, located on the University of Chicago campus, at 915 E. 60th St starting at 6PM.

And I did mention the screening is FREE, right?
