Garcelle Beauvais On Why She And Jamie Foxx Remained Friends Instead Of Pursuing A Relationship: 'I Love Him So Much'

Since starring together on The Jamie Foxx Show, fans have pointed out the obvious connection between Garcelle Beauvais and Jamie Foxx's respective characters Fancy and Jamie.

The two actors have always had chemistry in real life, which could have easily transformed into a romantic relationship. However, instead of becoming lovers, Beauvais and Foxx have remained friends all these years and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star just shared the simple reason why that is.

Garcelle Beauvais says she and Jamie Foxx have too much respect for their friendship.

While appearing on Access Hollywood on April 20, Beauvais opened up about her long-standing friendship with Jamie Foxx and why they never dated.

According to the actress, she and Foxx are such great friends that dating each other would have potentially ruined the relationship they’ve always shared.

“I love him so much. I really feel like had we had something back in the day we would be friends that we are now. I’ve seen him grow into this amazing man, amazing father,” The Real co-host said, as reported by Atlanta Black Star.

Beauvais noted that Jamie Foxx is one of the most supportive people in her life.

In addition to being a great friend, Beauvais added that Foxx has been a consistent source of support throughout the years.

During the interview, the actress recalled the time Foxx helped her while she was gearing up to promote her book, “Love Me As I Am.”

She shared that Foxx was more than willing to lend her a helping hand in any way he could. “I just called him and I said, ‘Will you do this video for me?’

He responded with, “Yeah. How soon do you want it?’ Like, but he’s just that way.” She continued, “When I was doing my documentary, my short about sex trafficking, and I called him and I said, ‘I’m going to need some funding,’ and he was like, ‘how much do you need?’, and I go, ‘Jamie I don’t want you to pay for the whole thing.’ Like you know what I mean, he’s just that guy. He’s really great.”
