For those who want a sequel to Jordan Peele’s Oscar-winning directorial debut Get Out, it’s not happening

In an interview with Variety in 2018, Jason Blum, one of the producers on the film, revealed that Peele has no intention of making a sequel to the psychological horror film.

“I think that [earlier comments] were taken out of context. I think what I said and what I would still say is, I would love to make a Get Out sequel, but we would only do it if Jordan wanted to do it and as far as I know, he has no intention of doing that.”

The film, which stars Daniel Kaluuya, revolves around a Black man named Chris Washington who stays with his white girlfriend’s affluent family for the weekend, only to learn that they snatch the bodies of African Americans in order to live forever.

Kaluuya was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his role, while Peele was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
