After rumors have been running rampant for a while now, ABC has officially announced that Keke Palmer will be the third host of the third hour of Good Morning America.

Previously titled GMA Day and Strahan & Sara, it has now been renamed GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke.

Frequently appearing as a guest host, the singer-actress became a mainstay on the show as a guest co-host alongside Michael Strahan during Sara Haines’ maternity leave.

“It’s been a blast having Keke co-host this summer. She brings an unique and spontaneous energy viewers love. She’s a multitalented artist, and I’m thrilled to have her join Michael and Sara every day. The three of them are a terrific team, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” said executive producer Rory Albanese said.

“We love Keke because she stepped up to the plate and joined our family and carried the ball,” said Haines.

Strahan said, “What you have done is amazing and we appreciate you. We love you. You add to so much of what we do here. This is not just a gift for us. It’s a gift for America.”

Palmer’s upcoming film Hustlers, debuts next month after its bow at the Toronto International Film Festival.
