Sony Pictures just released the trailer for Gran Turismo, and it is mixing gaming, racing and a real-life story.

The film, which is directed by Neill Blomkamp, will tell the real-life story of Jann Mardenborough, “whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.”

The film stars David Harbour, Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, Djimon Hounsou and Daniel Puig.

Madekwe will star as Jann Mardenborough, with Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell Horner portraying his mother, Lesley Mardenborough and Djimon Hounsou playing Mardenborough’s father, Steve. Puig will play his brother.

Gran Turismo is executive produced by Kazunori Yamauchi, Hermen Hulst, Jason Hall, and Matthew Hirsch. Doug Belgrad, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Dana Brunetti serve as producers.
