It’s a Ramonda and Cersei Lannister link-up! Angela Bassett has joined the women-led assassin thriller, Gunpowder Milkshake.
She’ll star with Game of Thrones star Lena Headey, as well as Avengers: Endgame‘s Karen Gillan.
Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are both the directors and writers.
Deadline, who broke the news, says this of the plot and Bassett’s character: The pic is said to be a high-concept female-centric assassin thriller that spans multiple generations. Angela will play Anna May, one of the unassuming leaders of a massive armory.
Bassett keeps busy; she’s one of the frequent stars of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story on FX. Her next film will be the Netflix feature Otherhood with Felicity Huffman and Patricia Arquette.
