'Hamilton' May Be Headed To The Big Screen — But Here's The Catch!

There is a massive bidding war to bring the acclaimed musical Hamilton to movie theaters.

However, those hoping for a film adaptation of the Tony award-winning musical should pause for a moment.

The big screen adaptation the musical will be a recording of the Broadway phenom with the original 2016 cast, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blindspotting star Daveed Diggs and Brandon Victor Dixon.

Some big-name contenders to bring Hamilton to the big screen include Warner Bros. and 21st Century Fox.

Netflix also looks to be a viable contender to bring the famed musical to television screens, which would limit its chances of a motion picture release in theaters.  Sources are saying the international rights for Hamilton could sell upwards of $50 million.
