In the new clip from the second season of Marvel and Netflix’s Luke Cage, Luke is getting it from everybody about what he is or isn’t doing to keep Harlem safe.

The trouble with being a hometown hero, as Luke found out in the first season and continues to deal with in this season, is that everyone wants you to take care of their needs as the top priority, even though you have plenty of other stuff to deal with at the same time. In the clip, Luke is harangued by the neighborhood locals–including a little girl–about how the city’s ails, including Luke’s inability to rein in new bad guy Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir), a man who somehow has Luke’s superstrength powers. Luke tries to convince everyone he’s going to take care of everything, but no one seems to believe him. In other words, Harlem’s attitude toward Luke seems to be “put up or shut up.”

Season 2 of Luke Cage not only pits Luke against the Bushmaster for the title of Harlem’s ruler, but Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) and her right hand Shades (Theo Rossi) are also thorns in Luke’s side, gunning for the city’s top spot. The new season, also starring Simone Missick, Gabrielle Dennis, Ron Cephas Jones, Rosario Dawson and Reg E. Cathey in one of his last performances, comes to Netflix June 22.
