When we last reported on Harlem’s Kitchen, Delroy Lindo departed his role on the CBS All Access legal drama, The Good Fight, to star in the ABC restaurant drama that is in development. Now, more names have been added to the cast list for the pilot.

Deadline is reporting that both Sheryl Lee Ralph and Miguel Nunez have been tapped for series regular roles.

Written by Zahir McGhee and directed by Stephen Williams, the pilot will center on Ellis Rice, the executive chef of a fine dining restaurant in Harlem whose business is upended when an unexpected death exposes long-buried family secrets.

Ralph, who is known for her roles on shows like Moesha and Ray Donovan, will portray Ellis’ wife CC, the Rice family matriarch. Gomez will portray Marco, an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador who works at the Rice family restaurant as a talented line cook and regards Ellis as a mentor and a surrogate father.

Additional casting should roll out over the next few weeks.
