To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Lifetime will premiere 50 new movies between May and the end of 2020, including a new film documenting the marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Titled Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, the film will follow the couple’s much-publicized decision to renounce their royal titles after the birth of their son Archie. The script is written by Scarlett Lacey and the film will be executive produced by Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss.

In 2018, the network premiered Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story,  a film starring Parisa Fitz Henley that documented the couple’s initial meeting and beginning stages of their relationship. A second film, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, premiered in 2019 and starred Tiffany Smith.

“The legacy of Lifetime Original Movies is undeniable, as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the pop culture phenomenon this year,” said Amy Winter, EVP, Head of Programming for Lifetime and LMN in a statement. “With everyone’s lives radically shifted in the past weeks, what has remained constant is Lifetime’s ability to deliver top-quality movie premieres like The Clark Sisters to our audiences and provide them some much-needed entertainment and escape. With over 50 more titles to debut between now and the end of the year, our storytelling ability is further strengthened by the incredible talent partners we have lined up.”
