Hayley Williams wants a Paramore and SZA collaboration, and so do we!

The band’s lead singer was a recent Black People Love Paramore podcast guest, revealing she wants to get in the booth with SZA.

Host Sequoia Holmes asked Williams if there were any Black artists she’d love to collaborate with, and she quickly replied with her top choice.

“It’s been SZA for a long time because I just love her voice. I rarely get asked to do features in things that get down to my core,” she said. “SZA has been the one for about six years now, and I’m sending the texts weekly at this point… ‘Garden’ is my favorite song by [her] but you know, all of her songs… you can put on, and there are no skips for me.”

The admiration between the two artists is mutual. Following the 2022 release of SZA’s critically acclaimed S.0.S album, Paramore fans praised her for featuring pop-rock singer Phoebe Bridgers. One fan asked if SZA was open to joining forces with Williams.

“I talk to her more than you’d think lol,” SZA responded.

Throughout the episode, Holmes asked Williams if any new Black artists had her in a chokehold. She stated she had recently been vibing out to the viral sensation Flyana Boss.

“Actually, two days ago, I discovered Flyana Boss—obsessed,” she said.

Although she doesn’t use Instagram much, Williams said she stumbled across the social media faves after jumping back on the app.

“For some reason, when I was on it, one of their viral videos, when they’re running, came on, and I was like, ‘who the f**k is this group?’ And they’re so good,” she said. “I’m so excited to catch on to them. They just have the whole thing—I have to track them down.”

The interview also covered Williams’ love for Lil Wayne‘s feature on the hit “Numba One Stunna” and how growing up singing in predominantly Black churches influenced her vocal style.
