From the world of web series, comes a modern day “She’s Gotta Have It,” but with a twist. He doesn’t want it.

Created by young industry professionals, Crystle Clear Roberson and Carlton Jordan, “Love Handles,” which has premiered on YouTube, makes an impressively humorous debut with a story about Leeza, a 20 something fluffy, who has allowed a recent break up to send her spiraling out of control, and into a new clothing size bracket.

According to the synopsis:

Leeza’s been dumped by her boyfriend Derek after gaining “too much weight” in the relationship, so her besties Charlie and Jade force her in to the world of health and fitness to snap her back into shape – but when the triad join a “man magnet” fitness group, the strength of their friendship is tested right along with their physiques.

The co-creators are no stranger to Shadow and Act. Crystle Clear Roberson earned the HBO Filmmaker Award and a grant from Kodak, for writing and directing “Next Door’s Next.” Later that year, she co-directed the award winning short “Before I Wake”, which was awarded Best Film by The Doorpost Film Project. She shot Idris Elba’s first music video, “Private Garden”, and wrote and directed the “The Black Cage,” starring Mykelti Williamson, which aired nationally on BET.

Carlton Jordan is a former field producer with the E! News Bureau who has become a celebrity news blogger at CarltonJordan.com.
