Showtime has dropped the first look at the upcoming heist film, Heist 88, starring Courtney B. Vance

The film, based on a true story, will debut Sept. 29 on Paramount+ with Showtime and will air on Showtime’s television channel Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

Vance plays Jeremy Horne, a master criminal who managed to steal a massive amount of money from the US banks. According to the official description:

Inspired by true events, HEIST 88 is the unbelievable story centered on Jeremy Horne (Vance), a criminal mastermind with an innate ability to convince anyone to do just about anything, who decides to pull one last job before going to prison. He recruits four young bank employees to steal close to $80 million dollars in a daring and brazen assault on the U.S. banking system. The film takes place in a time before widespread computerization and the vast cybersecurity of today.

Vance’s The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story co-star Keesha Sharp also stars alongside Vance in this film. Another of Vance’s former co-stars, 61st Street’s Bentley Green, also stars in the film. The film also stars Keith David, Nican Robinson, Xavier Clyde, Precious Way and Xavier Clyde.

The film is written by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran and Menhaj Huda, with Huda directing. Vance and Angela Bssett executive produce with Lynnette Ramirez and Dwayne Johnson-Cochran for Bassett Vance Productions. Barry Barclay and Van Toffler also executive produce for Gunpowder & Sky, with Mychael Chinn and Donny Hugo Herran executive producing for MTV Entertainment Studios. Carlos Lugo oversees production.
